3 Brothers on Chapel 

As the name suggests, we are three brothers who followed different paths to Australia, migrating at different times since the early 2000s. But no matter where life took us, one thing never changed — we’ve always lived together in one house. From our bachelor days to now, as married men with families of our own, our bond has only grown stronger.

In 2019, driven by our shared passion for authentic Indian cuisine and a lifelong dream of working together, we decided to open a restaurant. That dream became 3 Brothers on Chapel — a place where food, family, and culture come together.

We chose Chapel Street because of its vibrant energy, diverse culinary scene, and the surprising gap we noticed: there were many restaurants, but none offering the true flavours of India. We saw an opportunity not just to serve food, but to share our heritage in a way that felt personal and genuine.

Just months after opening the restaurant, the world changed. The COVID-19 pandemic brought lockdowns and uncertainty — a daunting time for any new business. But we stood strong, supported by the one thing we believe is our greatest strength: the unity of our family. It carried us through the toughest moments and helped us emerge stronger and more committed than ever.

In 2021, we proudly opened our second location in the heart of Melbourne CBD — at the iconic Queen Victoria Market. We named it 3 Brothersss Indian Restaurant, adding two extra "S"s to honour the initials of our beloved parents, Subhash and Shashi. Without their guidance, love, and blessings, none of this would have been possible. That name is our way of keeping them with us in every step of the journey.

Today, we pride ourselves on delivering not just great Indian food, but a full dining experience built on warmth, care, and community. Every dish is made with passion. Every bit of feedback is taken to heart. For us, our restaurants aren’t just businesses — they’re our story, our roots, and our way of sharing a piece of home with you.
